Making the most of your day with Top End Explorer Tours
Challenge. The walks on our day tours are challenging, they rate from moderate to difficult!
Nature. A good level of agility, balance and fitness are required to climb over rocks, which can be slippery with water and sand and have uneven surfaces. There are no formed walkways or hand rails – this is Nature!
Children. Children are welcome on our tours, however, our day tours are generally not suitable for families with very young children (under 5 years of age), unless they have undertaken similar bushwalks previously. Why not consider a private tour to make the experience enjoyable for the whole family?
Information. Make sure to visit the Kakadu National Park website for more detailed information on where to stay and what to see while visiting the area.
Location. Check out our Google map for sites and distances.
What to bring on tour
Hat. Always essential in the Tropics.
Personal water bottle. We keep cool water refills on hand.
Comfortable walking shoes with good grip. Be prepared for rocks and boulders, there are no boardwalks here!
Camera with spare batteries/film. There is ample opportunity to get the perfect shot, check out our photo album for inspiration!
Bathing costume and towel. Let the cool, clear waters of Kakadu’s iconic waterfalls refresh you. Bring your goggles you may just see some freshwater fish!
